Life Update 5

November is my craziest month of the year and as such... I haven't had time to upload anything anywhere. I haven't been able to read or do crafts but I am pleased to say, that I have started a couple of projects and will post them at a later date! For now, I've started to make a TBR jar that I plan to make either little covers or books of books that I want to read during the year. I haven't been doing well in my reading challenge, but I plan to do more next year and I also plan to do a craft challenge and photo challenge. I've got some ideas coming that I can't wait to try! My birthday is in 13 days, and I am going to be busy. My laptop is in repairs and there is not much I can do at this time. So, happy holidays since Thanksgiving and if my laptop isn't back soon or I don't post during this month, Merry Christmas!

Life Update 4

Introducing our newest family member-Soda Pop! He is roughly 6 weeks old, and he is such a sweetie! Shadow, Tree, and Juliet are still adjusting to him. I guess it has only been 4 days since we got him, but he has already made himself a prominent figure in our family. He loves to cuddle under blankets and loves to run around and meow. He is such a rambunchus little ball of energy, but amazingly is less energetic than Shadow was at his age. He hops around a lot and we're still trying to get Soda Pop used to his name.  Another update is that a friend of mine has recently commissioned me to embroider a pillowcase for him. I'm working on it as well as the gift package I've been working on for my boyfriend and it is an interesting challenge for me! I'm having a lot of fun trying to figure out how to do this Totodile while trying to keep myself from accidentally sewing up the hoop and pillowcase. A few places in Oklahoma have been helping EBT and SNAP users with food and ...

Peaceful Days-A new cute, cozy game!

Image
A little information For many cozy fans, Stardew Valley is everything...but what if I were to tell you that there is a brand-new cozy game that is, in my opinion, much more darling? Peaceful Days is a new farming sim game that was released on November 6th, 2025. This game has been in development for 6 years prior, and it has finally reached launch and patch 1.0. I don't have much time in it currently, due to the 2v8 game mode coming back to Dead by Daylight, but this game has had me hooked since I tested out the demo. The developer is Nhat Nguyen, and they are quite remarkable. They are a solo developer who is going through some medical issues and wants to use this adorable game to help treat their kidney disease. I think that this game is something truly special. So much love and hard work have gone into this game.  Store Page Here is the store page on Steam. As you can see, there are many things in the game to offer. It feels very reminiscent of various farming sims, but w...

Life Update 3

This update is a small one. There hasn't been anything too exciting to upload. On 10/22, I had an appointment with my rheumatologist, and so I spent the day with my family down in Edmond. I had a blast with them. We started the day with my aunt's appointment, and so while they were in the doctor's office, I was out in the car watching Chopped on my phone. It was relaxing. My cousin was asleep, it was quiet, and the windows were down during a nice breeze. While watching it, I was working on my embroidery project for my boyfriend's birthday gift (Finished product will be uploaded once I'm done!!).  After at least three episodes, they finally come out of the building and back into the car. We had some time to kill, and we went to a cute little store that is like Dollar Tree and Five Below had a baby. We went into Daiso, and I loved seeing my aunt's reactions to the store. I got a new embroidery hoop at the store, and it was a good time. Then we had to drive to m...

Death's Obsession Review

Image
My Initial Thoughts When I first heard of this book, it was on Instagram. I had been hunting the book title down since the video that I had originally saw it on didn't show the title of the book and I became obsessed with finding it. I mean come on, what girl doesn't fantasize about the grim reaper , right? (Sorry darling!) The cover immediately drew me in because the crow is beautiful and symbolic to death itself. I was surprised at first by the fact that it was only 13 chapters but got over it when I remembered that I read Zane: Were-Zoo Book One. I read this book in a day, because dark romance and stalker... I'm normal.... Anyway, I started it late September 20th and into September 21st .  About the book Death did not take Lilith's soul when she was supposed to die. He constantly reminds her that she is his . Death was the one that kept her going and alive, leaving her treats, gifts, letters, and much more. Death stalks her, watching her sleep, and marking her....

Zane: Were-Zoo Book One Review

Image
My Initial Thoughts This book has been in my Kindle library for quite some time. Truthfully, I don't remember when it arrived. My aunt and I share libraries, so we can read each other's books. What initially brought me to this book was that it was a paranormal romance and it started with a " Z ", which was perfect for my reading challenge. My aunt has read books from R.E. Butler before and said that they were a good author. She reads more than I do, and at a faster rate. She's finished the challenge before the end of the year already, whereas I am falling behind.  So, I started this book around May 13th , and ended up finishing it in September 11 ... I know... I take forever.  About the book Zane is a gorilla shifter that lives in a zoo called "Amazing Adventures Safari Park" and each of the animals and staff are shifters that have been living in secret from humans. His life starts to get mundane and boring and his primary objective is to find a mate....

Hooked (Never After #1) Review

Image
My Initial Thoughts  I have had this book on my shelf for quite a while, and started to read it around May 1st . I set it down for a while due to wanting to read other books first. I know...Priorities. What drew me to this book was that it was a dark romance, which is my favorite genre of romance. I was interested in the Peter Pan retelling, and let me tell you, this book had some twists and turns that had me gasping in real life. I kept telling myself that I was going to read it, and then I was going to put it under the H category of the book challenge that I am working on, but I ended up buying another book that started with an H. So instead, this book became my one-word title category . It took me until September 12th to finally finish the book and write the review the same day. Shocking right?! At the time of reading this book, I was also reading five or six other books. It was a mess...a beautiful, romantic, twisted mess.  About the book James, aka Hook, always had one ...
